Dare to Share
About The Book
Dare To Share
“Dare to Share” stands at the heart of Anthony Gifford’s work, a reflection of his lifelong search for genuine community and meaningful connection. It didn’t begin as a grand idea but as a simple question: How can we truly live together?
After spending thirteen remarkable years aboard his 42-foot sailboat, Swan of Tuonela, sailing between Toronto and the Bahamas, Anthony and his wife Judy returned to life on land. Faced with the challenge of living in alignment with their values, they explored tiny homes and shared living. Not just co-housing but spaces where people genuinely cooperate and grow together. Finding little written on the subject, Anthony decided to write the book he wished existed.
In this book, his reflections meet the voices of thinkers and visionaries across generations and cultures. Each page offers a conversation between Anthony’s lived experience and timeless words that remind us how essential sharing is to being human.
More than a book, this read serves as an open invitation. It asks readers to rediscover the power of generosity, to question the isolation of modern life, and to imagine new ways of belonging.
DARE TO SHARE
Dare to Share invites readers to pause and ask a simple but powerful question: What does living together mean? In a world that often celebrates independence over connection, Anthony Gifford gently challenges us to rethink how we relate, give, and belong. Through his personal journey from life aboard a sailboat to creating a shared home, he offers insight into how true sharing can transform our relationships and the quality of our lives. This book isn’t a manual; it’s a mirror, reflecting community, empathy, and cooperation possibilities in an age that often forgets them. Reading it may not change the world, but it might change how you see your place in it, and how you choose to share it.
